You'll need
- Your V Forge Set (hub and Wired Ambient Probe)
- A USB charger or power bank for Blow, 5V/2A or higher recommended. A lower-rated source works, but the fan may not reach full speed. A wall charger is safest overnight: some power banks switch off when the fan runs gently.
- Power for the hub on long cooks. The hub runs about 14 hours on battery and keeps running while it charges, so it can stay plugged in for long cooks.
- A 1¼" hole saw, only if your kettle, WSM or drum has no accessible air opening. Kamado needs no drilling.
The Wired Ambient Probe reads the temperature at the grate. Blow passes the reading to the hub over the hub-link cable, the hub works out how much air the fire needs, and Blow feeds the fire that air. The control runs on the hub itself, so the cook keeps running if WiFi or the cloud drops.

Does Blow work on its own?

Why is Blow wired to the hub, not wireless?
So the fire never depends on a radio link. The Wired Ambient Probe, Blow and the hub are joined by cable, so a dropped WiFi or Bluetooth signal only costs you the view on your phone, never control of the fire. And there's no battery in the fan to run flat mid-cook: Blow runs off a USB charger or power bank.
What are the returns and warranty terms?
Unused products can be returned within 30 days for a refund (shipping not refunded). Start with an RMA from support@themeatstick.com. 1-year warranty from purchase covers defects in materials and workmanship.
