A Stick reads the meat and sends it over Bluetooth. Set it on any V Series base or hub to charge. The V Smart Base, V Duo Smart Base and V Forge WiFi Hub also carry the Stick's signal on to the MeatStick app, over a longer range and over your WiFi. The V Charge Stack only charges: with it, the Stick talks straight to your phone.

Slots are for charging, not a limit. A base that charges one Stick still tracks up to 8 in the app.
Keep the base or hub within about 6 ft of the Stick, closer is better. 900 ft+ is the Bluetooth range spec, not how far apart to place them.

V Prime Stick
5 internal sensors plus 1 ambient: it reads the meat and the air around it. Dark, faceted handle.

V Core Stick
5 internal sensors: it reads the meat. Blue-gray handle. Every V Core Set adds three colour rings, so you can tell your Sticks apart in the app.

Wired Ambient Probe
On a cable, it reads the cooker at the grate, beside the food. It plugs into the V Forge WiFi Hub, or into Blow when Blow is running the fire.

Both Sticks: ±0.4°F accuracy, a 50+ hour battery, and dishwasher safe.

Your V Core Stick charges on it and picks up 900 ft+ Bluetooth range and WiFi. Keep the V Charge Stack for a second Stick. Want two charging slots and a screen? The V Duo Smart Base does the same for two.
A V Core Set adds a Stick with its own V Charge Stack, and your hub reads it. A V Prime Stick works too. The V Forge WiFi Hub tracks up to 8 Sticks at once.
Blow connects to your V Forge WiFi Hub and feeds a charcoal fire the air it needs to hold the temperature you set. Your Sticks keep reading the meat. Charcoal only.
Before the V Series, range and WiFi came as separate pieces: an X Charger with a built-in Xtender, and the WiFi Bridge.
The Classic system
X Chargers have a built-in Xtender. The MeatStick X, 4X and Chef X Chargers extend a Stick's Bluetooth range up to 164 ft indoors or 650 ft outdoors.
Up to 8 Sticks connect through any X Charger.
The WiFi Bridge joins your WiFi and links up to 8 Sticks to the MeatStick cloud, so you can check temperatures anywhere with internet. It runs on Micro-USB power from an adapter or power bank.
With the V Series
Each generation charges on its own chargers: V Series Sticks on V Series bases, Classic Sticks on Classic chargers.
A V Smart Base, V Duo Smart Base or V Forge WiFi Hub also picks up MeatStick 4 and MeatStick Chef Sticks.
