Blow · BBQ temperature control fan

Blow holds the fire in the cooker you already own.

Set your pit temperature in the app and let Blow tend the fire. It feeds your charcoal the air it needs while you watch from your phone. Blow Forge is Blow plus the V Forge Set it runs on: the V Forge WiFi Hub and Wired Ambient Probe.

What are you cooking on?

Blow works on charcoal cookers where you control the air coming in.

Blow is for you

Charcoal, with an air intake you can control

  • Kamado: no drilling.
  • Kettle, bullet smoker (WSM) and drum: clips into an existing air opening if your cooker has an accessible one, otherwise one 1¼" hole with a flat surface behind it.
  • Charcoal only.

Not for

Gas or pellet

They already manage their own heat, so a fan adds nothing. The V Forge Set still reads your pit at the grate on any fuel.

How it connects

Every part has one job.

The Wired Ambient Probe reads the pit at the grate and plugs into Blow. The hub compares that to your target and tells Blow how much air to give. The Stick reads the meat, and the MeatStick app shows you both.

Two ways in

What do you already have?

Blow runs on the V Forge WiFi Hub. Pick the one that matches what you already own.

Measure, then control

It reads the heat at your food, then feeds the fire to hold it.

  1. The Wired Ambient Probe reads the temperature at the grateThat is the level your food cooks at, not up in the lid where a lid thermometer sits.
  2. The hub decides how much airIt checks the reading against your target and tells Blow how much air to give: more when the fire runs cool, less when it runs hot.
  3. On target, the fan eases offThe fan switches on and off as needed. The temperature drifts above and below your target and comes back. That is normal for a charcoal fire.

The straight answers.

Blow on a kamado, no drilling.

Will it fit my cooker?

  • Kamado: no drilling. Plates are in the box.
  • Kettle, WSM and drum: clips into an existing air opening if your cooker has an accessible one, otherwise one 1¼" hole with a flat surface behind it. If you drill, you supply the hole saw.
  • Charcoal only.

The app tells you when the cook needs you.

What if something goes wrong at 3am?

  • If Blow loses power or its link to the hub, the fan stops.
  • The control runs on the hub itself, right at your cooker. If your WiFi or the cloud drops, the cook keeps running.
  • If the fire runs low? The temperature drops even with the fan running. Add charcoal and check the vents.

You still run the cook.

Isn't that cheating?

  • You still build the fire, pick the wood and call the wrap.
  • Blow saves you the 3am trip out to check the vents.
  • Your Stick still tells you when the meat is done.

Hold your fire.

For a charcoal cooker with an air intake you can control, and a cook you would rather not babysit.
