Different chicken cuts need different temperatures to cook perfectly. Another factor to consider is whether the chicken cut you are going to cook is a boneless or bone-in piece.

For boneless chicken breast, 4-5 min on direct heat & on each side is enough. Though the bone-in chicken breast needs to be cooked over indirect heat, so it’ll take between 40-50 min until it’s perfectly cooked. Once the temperature hits 165ºF/73ºC, you can remove the chicken from the grill and enjoy a delicious piece of grilled chicken.

Don’t let your chicken dry out due to overcooking. This is why we insist on using a meat thermometer, so there are no risks. Our App will monitor the temps and will tell you when the chicken reaches the target temperature. Even if the chicken’s inside a covered grill.

As for chicken wings, because they have bones, they should be cooked for 20-30 min over indirect heat. The target temperature for wings is 175ºF/79ºC.

Lastly, when it comes to chicken thighs and drumsticks, grill them for 40-50 min on indirect heat. Their target temperature should be similar to the chicken wing’s target temp.
