How it works together

Every part has one job.

The Wired Ambient Probe reads the cooker's temperature at the grate. The hub compares it to the temperature you set and tells Blow how much air to give the fire. The Stick reads the meat, and the app shows you both.

Charcoal only. Kamado: no drilling. Kettle, bullet smoker (WSM) and drum: clips into an existing air opening if your cooker has an accessible one, otherwise one 1¼" hole with a flat surface behind it.

  • Blow on a kettle grill with the V Forge WiFi Hub, the Wired Ambient Probe at the grate and a Stick in the meat, each labelled with its job: the Stick reads the meat, the Wired Ambient Probe reads the pit at the grate, the V Forge WiFi Hub decides, Blow feeds the fire air
  • The MeatStick app's Now Cooking screen: the Kettle card holding at 225°, and a pork butt smoke on a Stick reading 105° with the pit at 223°

Push the Stick in. The wireless Stick goes into the meat. Close the lid or the oven door.
  2. A phone showing the cook in the MeatStick app, held over steaks on a grill
Watch on your phone. The app streams the temperature live and predicts when dinner's ready.
  3. A sliced medium-rare tomahawk on a slate board with a Stick beside it
Pull at perfect. Get the alert the moment it hits your target. Rest it, slice it, take the credit.

Questions

Quick answers.

What if I'm not satisfied?

Unused products can be returned within 30 days. Cook with a V Prime, V Duo or V Forge Set or Blow Forge ordered here, and if you don't get a great steak in 30 days, we buy it back. Great Steak Guarantee terms

Can it go on the grill, in a smoker or in the oven?

Yes. Every V Series Stick is heat-rated to 1200°F, so it stays in the meat on a grill, in a smoker or in the oven. Keep the Stick out of direct flame.

Why choose The MeatStick over other meat thermometers?

No wires from the Stick to your phone, five internal sensors in every V Series Stick, and one app for the whole system. The V Core Set works over Bluetooth with your phone close by. The V Prime, V Duo and V Forge Sets add WiFi in the base or hub, so you can follow the cook from anywhere. Add Blow to a V Forge Set and it holds your charcoal fire too.

How do I use it?

Push the Stick into the thickest part of the meat, pick your cook in the MeatStick app and close the lid. The app shows the temperature as it climbs and tells you when to pull it.

Stick it in. Nail it.

Hold the fire with Blow, or start with the thermometer.
